Hello! I’m Casey, the face behind Haggard Mountain Homestead. My husband Cory and I are both military veterans who wanted a more self sufficient lifestyle and to put down roots close to family. We both grew up near Pittsburgh, PA, and in 2018, we embarked on this amazing adventure by purchasing our 2-acre homestead. We currently have a thriving vegetable garden, fruit trees, have raised chickens for meat and eggs, are beginner beekeepers, and have recently started dabbling in flower gardening. As first-generation homesteaders, we believe that anyone can homestead and no matter how long you have been homesteading, there's always more to learn. We’re excited to share our journey with you and invite you to learn and grow alongside us.
